We are seeking an energetic and organized Purchasing Coordinator for our growing interior design firm consisting of 8 talented designers and an ever changing retail showroom.
As the Purchasing Coordinator, you will place all orders for the retail studio as well as all custom, specialty orders for our staff designers. This position plays a vital role in supporting the design team by ensuring timely and accurate procurement, communicating effectively with our vendors and working closely with our designers to update/alter orders when necessary.
Hours: 30 Hours a Week
Start Date: mid to late August
Responsibilities:
Place all product orders for the showroom/retail space
Place custom orders for furniture, drapery, bedding, wallpaper, lighting, accessories and more
Communicate with vendors to confirm availability, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
Troubleshoot delays or issues as needed
Collaborate with designers to understand project-specific needs and deadlines
Work with different internal departments to manage purchase orders, invoices and inventory
Qualifications:
Previous experience in purchasing/procurement
Industry experience preferred, but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communications skills
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
